The search for 25-year-old Asimbongekuhle Sibanda has ended in tragedy. Reported missing in Benoni on 24 April, she was admitted to Tambo Memorial Hospital the same day as an unidentified patient and died on 15 June. Her family only learned of her death after she had already been buried.
