During OK’s last election for governor, Kevin Stitt said, during a debate with his opponent, that if re-elected he would revisit and reconsider OK’s abortion laws. @GovStitt given the situation in Texas, you should do this NOW to ensure Oklahoma women can get healthcare!!
Hey @koconews@NEWS9@kfor anyone gonna report on the situations at the May Ave OKC Target and the Quail Springs Target?? Heavy police force and evacuations with police saying all metro targets are closed yet not a word from anyone?
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a thousand more times, putting a Braum’s in midtown/downtown OKC (a location with no drive thru embedded within an existing space) would make $$$ and would be the first step in filling the much-needed grocery store void in the area.
I’ve been casually looking at real estate in my area for 3ish years now and it’s interesting how home listing verbiage has gone from “great starter home, good school district, large family room” to “amazing rental/AirBnB opportunity, great addition to an investment portfolio”
I agree with levels of this take, but this is definitely not a new problem and we’d be much better off putting money into creating and upgrading more walk-friendly neighborhoods and parks with good walking spaces rather than these whack “dog friendly” bars and restaurants.
@FernetBroncho Me, I can vouch for myself that I’m not a narc. I just wanna be part of the conversation, especially for better pedestrian infrastructure!
@oak_okc question: you say “miles of neighborhood connected sidewalks”, how many miles? I live extremely close, but my neighborhood lacks sidewalks. Are they being added?
Plans to put in a grocery store/things to serve the needs of residents? Or is this strictly entertainment?
With activated greenspace, rooftop dining experiences, unique storefronts and miles of neighborhood-connected sidewalks, OAK will be a dynamic and one-of-a-kind development in OKC.
We are so happy to share this journey with you and hope you'll be here every step of the way. 🌳
I’d love to follow more OKC/Tulsa folks that are passionate about making our city more walkable. If you’re a person who lives here and walks a majority of the time, I’d love to talk to you!
@HeavenlySkyes_ Big Red Kia. Extremely long story short, one of the sales guys up there actually tried to pull a fast one and pocket my money 🤡 and they tried to claim for the longest they “can’t do checks” 🤡 🤡 their reviews are also very telling! The car dealership industry is a racket.
Friends, would you all amplify my experience with Automax Hyundai in Norman? I still have no answers for the thousands of dollars I am owed.
I've shared it on my Facebook, @DealerRater: https://t.co/Hm2pd8twsh
and on Google: https://t.co/LP3gWi3yZQ
Okay listen I will loudly say this is me. Not on highways or major city roads, but I especially do this on Villa and other side streets that people FLY down despite being in neighborhoods with basically no sidewalks or bike lanes and a heavy pedestrian/bike/stray cat presence.
If you live in or around Venice in OKC please for the love of god come to my house I have so much candy and so much Halloween joy to share. Costume, no costume, doesn’t matter. Just come get treats!
Breaking my extremely long hiatus to beg and plead for someone, anyone, to buy the old Ingrid’s location on Villa and turn it into a bakery/coffee shop. Open it at 6 am at least so it can compete with the Bucks and Dunkin up the road. Many would walk there. That is all.
Uh oh OKC, Twitter found a small section of Scissortail and they are foaming at the mouth at the sight of the permeable pavers y’all better get that goofy Mayor McCheese on the phone and rally.
