@Rneifeld It also can stop offenses in eastern Ukraine. Russia can only advance if it throws all it's reinforcements to the meat grinder. If Russia has to send them to Kursk, it stops the advances in Ukraine. Fewer Ukrainian casualties to top Russia.

@KofmanMichael The goal is to draw enough Russian resources away from eastern Ukraine so that they can't advance anymore. It's a gamble to go where Russia is weak to stop their advances in Ukraine. Russia can only advance by sending all their mobniks to the grinder.
