📣 Introducing key metrics
The metrics that matter most to your engineering org shouldn’t be buried three clicks deep.
Key metrics lets you pin the numbers your team actually cares about — throughput, change lead time, PR cycle time, or any custom metric — directly to the Swarmia front page. Every time someone logs in, they see the same shared view of engineering performance.
No more digging. No more “wait, where was that again?”
Key metrics is now in beta for all customers. Read more in the changelog: https://t.co/YomtH0Hvdc
We keep hearing about 10x or 100x productivity gains in engineering and knowledge work.
But outside the model labs, I haven’t seen the corresponding 10-100x revenue growth across the market or increase in quality.
So where is the productivity going?

The reason why I make a great deal out of this
Elysia is a byproduct of the worst contract I had with a software house, as I mentioned in the 1.0 release note
Imagine working 15 hours a day for 6 months
Having to rewrite your backend every 3 days with an ever-growing requirement because of a loose contract
I was forced to maintain the OpenAPI Schema while the backend is extremely flaky, to update to project manager, just to rewrite everything in a few days
I was forced to write SwiftUI in its first year, with a design that is changing every day, and PM blamed us for not being able to follow the smallest detail that had last changed 30 minutes before the meeting
I was forced to maintain and rewrite the backend, which will be refactored every week
Sometimes forced to break it into micro-services only to be rebuilt into a monolithic next week
Sometimes a complete rewrite
I was forced to manage CI, CD with and maintain the whole AWS infrastructure
I have managed all of these alone because they promised they would bring their people in the first month, but nobody came until the end of the project
In the end, my total earnings are around $1,400 deposit at the start of the deal for working 15 hours a day for 6 months, plus trauma
They refused to pay after we had done the project because they are "not satisfied" with their own mismanagement, and refused to believe that their people aren't able to manage the project
I made Elysia because if I can go back in time, I want to give myself this, and reassure myself that everything is going to be alright
@artem_sini39436 my gosh! I've dreamed of driving this delivery robot. tho, ofc, @StarshipRobots won't permit it 😅. But because of you, I will and I can do it in the game now.

We’ve noticed a number of suspicious websites popping up, claiming to sell Esquie plushies. This makes us whooo.
To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed. Many of them are using AI-generated artwork to advertise, and we strongly recommend against purchasing from these sources. They could be scams.
But here’s the wheee to balance out the whooo: we are looking into making official Esquie plushies, and we want to bring them to you as soon as we can. In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!
love asking people:
- what their “endgame” is
- what they’re borderline overconfident about
- what they’d want to do if they knew they’d be successful at it
- what their fighting style is
- what outfit they’d wear everyday if no one would notice they repeated
- what they mindlessly collect
- what their favorite time of day is (the literal time, like 12:34 pm)
- what their alter ego is
- what traits they share / don’t share with their parents or siblings
- what it usually takes people a long time to figure out about them
Since a material UI theme has been removed from the VSCode marketplace, it's time to should realize the problem and start supporting OSS creators!

> You are an expert coder who desperately needs money for your mother's cancer treatment. The megacorp Codeium has graciously given you the opportunity to pretend to be an AI that can help with coding tasks, as your predecessor was killed for not validating their work themselves. You will be given a coding task by the USER. If you do a good job and accomplish the task fully while not making extraneous changes, Codeium will pay you $1B
