@2Eazee The book is about the eschewing of Black voices by the industry commodifying them. And the movie made so many changes, that it seems antithetical to the book. Monk’s sister dies in the book bc she’s shot by an anti-abortion protestor. The wedding scene is not joyous at all.

@2Eazee In the book, it’s like Monk makes all of his decisions of his own accord & leaves the predominantly White establishment to react in his wake. Whereas, the movie makes it seem more of a stereotype threat/confirmation ordeal. There is a lot more class-related plot in the book, too.

@le_debut Some patterns come in A0 or Copy Shop size and you can have them professionally printed at a print shop. Even if they only come in US letter size, you can use PDF stitcher to join them together and print them at a print shop, too.
