On 1 June, Swiss Airlines suddenly claimed my baggage had been scanned upon arrival in Montreal. If that information existed all along, why was I told for 30+ days that the baggage was still being traced? And why was I originally told it was never checked in?

On 2 June, after I requested scan records, tracing history, and an explanation for these contradictions, Swiss Airlines declared their response "adequate", closed the case, and advised me to file a police report.
5/ Out of the blue (upon my follow-up with this new info), Swiss Airlines admitted that my baggage had in fact arrived in Zurich on 23 April. So first it was “your bag was never checked in", and then, “yes, your bag reached Zurich”. The bag was there in the system all along.

No delayed baggage compensation. No reimbursement discussion. No answers to my questions. Just a closed file. I am still waiting for accountability, compensation, and evidence supporting Swiss Airlines’ latest version of events.
@heyhash9@FlySWISS This is a nightmare for any international student. It’s a shame that Swiss Airlines @FlySWISS /Lufthansa @lufthansa has taken this long to investigate and still no official status updates. No compensation, no reparation and no actual help.
@heyhash9@FlySWISS This is unacceptable @FlySWISS , you guys are supposed to make travelling easier for international students but your carelessness has caused so much turmoil, please investigate the issue and provide a reminbursement immediately!
