Everyone loves saying "backup and DR". almost nobody actually tests restore. and yeah.. that's where things get weird.
Stuff I have run into the real world:
- snapshots copied just fine, but KMS keys in the target region slam the door shut.
- secrets drift over the time, and suddenly services boot with the wrong config.
- opensearch fails because repo permissions never got replicated.
What actually moves the needle:
- run monthly restore drill in a throwaway "trash" VPC.
- script the restore + validation. A wiki page won't save you at 2 AM.
- treat DR like a deploy pipeline, not a checkbox.
Bottom line: backups aren't DR. DR is a restore path you've actually proven works.
Gambhir π£οΈ : "I was removed and Virat was made vice-captain. Has a vice-captain ever been removed while the captain stayed?"
Now Gambhir (H coach) has removed Pandya, Axar, Rishabh and Axar again, from the vice-captaincy
Biggest Hypocrite ever ππ
There is a reason Cricket as a sport can never grow to the global level.
It treats bowlers like slaves especially in T20 format whose only job is to get smashed by batters. They can't even give send-offs after taking an imp. wicket.
