Things do exist that are worth standing up for without compromise. To me it seems that peace and social justice are such things, as is Christ himself.

Our annual LEAP test hype video dropped today!

Huge thanks thanks to all of our staff that are willing to co-sign on goofy ideas in the name of motivating students!

It’s a great day to be a Baskin Ram! Our School Performance Score increased by 7.9 points! We were also recognized as a LDOE Top Gains Honoree. We are so proud of our teachers and students for being mission focused and never settling!

Yesterday, as a kid walked by my class during class change, he said “you look like a fun teacher.” I said “thanks, but why?”

He said, “music is blaring in your room and I saw you dancing and smiling as you walked out here”

Don’t be afraid to be yourself

[Danny Steele @SteeleThoughts]

Please remember that all those interactions you have with your students outside of the lesson really matter. The smiles... the eye contact... the jokes... the fist bumps... the silliness...they’re all important. They remind kids that they matter. Those moments can mean the world.

Challenge accepted from @mrsjenkinscms Challenged to post covers of 7 books I love: no explanations, no reviews - just the cover. Each time I post a cover, I’ll ask someone else to take the challenge. 1 cover a day for 1 week. My day 1 nomination goes to @wespierce

[Danny Steele @SteeleThoughts]

Teachers... thank you for persevering. Maybe you’re barely holding on... but you’ve got this!

Thank you for holding on!

We return to the schoolhouse on Monday.

Some kids will be bursting to share their breaks with you.

Some kids will be dying for a hug.

Some kids will need to shake off the cobwebs.

Allow for it all.

Connection over curriculum on Monday. 💙

“If you give kids access to instruction of the highest quality, the test will take care of itself.”

Thanks @DonyallD for a great session today at the LASE conference.

Love difficult people.
You’re one of them.

Today, in the span of about three hours, I drew mustaches on the faces of some 8th graders, “extracted” a snake from the playground, removed a rock from a kindergartner’s ear, and had two parent conferences dressed as Harry Potter. #adayinthelife of an #assistantprincipal

Just saw this... several months late to the party, but thanks to @MonteSyrie for sharing this. What a great mentality.

@jasfountain I’m really excited to see this finished product.

@James_vru @ChirnsydePS @mrsjenkinscms @jasfountain @swatts5240 still think about CMS (and specifically Donagriche) every time I see this word.

@Chris_D_Cole Ugh

Holy smokes... I’m going to need to hear more about this @fastcrayon

[Michael Young @heyimmichael]

A big thanks to all of our Baskin Rams for participating (and to Mrs. Schulte for being such a good sport). Today we raised over $350 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital! #ramtribe
