Havenโt posted here in a while, but I just had to share this ๐ฅน
Today is the best day yet for my 4-month-old app.
$330.85 in a single day! ๐โค๏ธ
@TryAstroApp Thank you! I actually purchased Astro yesterday and also downloaded the free ebooks. Haven't read them yet but will check them out this weekend ๐
published a new app 2 weeks ago. had a little boost at launch, but since Aug 31...0 downloads ๐
not sure if I should just leave it and hope things pick up, or get @TryAstroApp to improve ASO.
anyone else been in this situation? what did you do?
@theOtterDev that makes sense! i just hope i'll get enough users and some who actually want to share feedback so i know what's worth adding behind a paywall ๐
I'm launching a one-feature app soon with no paywall because I'm not sure yet what things to put behind the paywall.
similar apps offer ad-free use for paid users, but I donโt want ads.
indie devs, what would you put behind a paywall in a one-feature app?
just realized my 2-year-old calculator app just hit $500 in revenue this month๐ฏ
it was free for almost 2 years. honestly, i didn't think anyone would pay for it.
but after seeing @adamlyttleapps and @seraleev share their journeys, i finally added a paywall in march!
thanks to @seraleev for sharing these great ASO tips ๐
i initially just updated the icon but didn't see much change... but once I tweaked the title + subtitle, I saw results the very next day!
Some quick ASO insights for Google Play:
1. Google reacts to changes almost instantly - youโll see traffic go up or down the very next day
2. Title and Subtitle matter most - change them, and youโll see an immediate impact
3. Changes in the description take longer - reindexing can take up to 3 weeks
@seraleev Appreciate it, Viktor!
I'm planning to improve onboarding + paywall next to get better conversions, especially now that the app is getting more installs ๐
