for some people, life doesn't truly begin until they're 26-30. The way we romanticize and obsess over youth is super harmful. Your life is not over at 21, i promise you. it's just beginning.
ITS NORMAL TO:
Change careers at 30
Cry and still keep going at 30
Lose friends at 30
Find yourself at 30
Be single at 30
Start therapy at 30
Fall in love at 30
Marry at 30
Have your first child at 30
For most people, life doesn’t truly begin until they are 26-30…..the way we romanticize and obsess over youth is super harmful. Your life is not over at 25, it’s just beginning.
By the age of 30, you should…
Nah, I’m not doing that. Some people I knew never even made it to that age. Live every day with purpose and intent. That’s it.
Young women are not giving each other dating tips anymore, they are telling each other to de-center man and advising each other to prepare for a life without them. Birth rates are dropping, divorce rates are climbing, more women are buying houses, cars etc. keep shining ladies
Get a degree and make a career before getting married because there is no guarantee of a healthy spouse and healthy marriage but your degree and career will get you an independent life.
I'll be 44 in May. Babae, calling 40 "old" tells me y'all haven’t lived yet.
At 40, you move with intention, choose peace over chaos, speak less because you know more & refuse to touch a lesson twice. Growth is the point of living. Aging is a privilege. If you’re lucky, you’ll make it to 40 & beyond because it’s a blessing, not a curse.
today a man told me that my best years are behind me
this is me at 20 vs me at 30
20 years old:
- self-conscious
- couldn't be alone
- couldn't leave the house without makeup
- anxious
- people pleaser
30 years old:
- makes a fool of herself online for a laugh
- self employed and travels the world alone
- will sit in a coffee shop for 8 hours with no make up and wonky glasses
- confident
- sets boundaries
it's crazy to me that people use women aging as an insult
when in reality, life only gets better with each year we’re blessed with it
“30 is so old.” you’ve only been here for three decades. in two of them, you couldn’t drink, rent a car, or even be fully responsible for yourself. please wake up. you are a FRESH flower in the garden of life
