If we date, I want a little favoritism. I want to know I’m your person the one who gets a little more love, a little more effort, and a little more of you than anyone else.
Until you've experienced a generous man, it's hard to understand how naturally someone who truly loves you wants to invest in your happiness, support your growth, and make your life a little easier, not out of obligation, but out of genuine care.
I wanna be in love with someone who is equally as in love with me and I don't want it to just be love. I want us to be best friends and to adore and respect each other and to fit together like puzzle pieces. Tbh I have faith I will find that.
Back in university, I was going through hell, like usual. One day I walked into the cafeteria hoping someone might invite me to eat. I wasn’t begging. You know how sometimes a friend sees you and says, “Come, join us.” Unfortunately, no one did.
So I turned around and started walking back to the hostel.
Just as I got close to the school gate, my phone buzzed. I had received ₦7,000.
I froze.
At the time, I never received that kind of money unless I had been running errands for other students. But this transfer came from someone who had already graduated.
I flashed him, and he called me back.
He said, “NYSC just paid me ₦30,000, and I thought of you.”
My body became weak.
I slowly sat down beside the security men at the gate and cried quietly. Then I got up, walked back to the cafeteria, and finally ate.
These are the memories that keep pushing me to build openChow.
I spent more time in university worrying about where my next meal would come from than actually studying. No student should have to carry that burden.
That’s why I’ll do everything in my power and beyond to make sure openChow succeeds.
And through it all, I’ll never stop believing in the kindness of good friends.
A new job in clinical medicine with a sensible work schedule, great pay( 800 plus), on the mainland (Ikeja) with a great MD (preferably female) who will help my career growth and kind colleagues and plenty bonus will heal me right now🥹
Everyone is talking about their unis and exposure and nobody is talking about how unis with multi campus affect their students.
Wdym you only interacted with students you studied related courses with throughout your stay in uni. That alone is a big disadvantage.
I’m very biased, of course I think women are objectively better than men in anything. Whatever it is, I promise you I know a woman that can do it better.
