The first time someone said
they were a songwriter
and showed me A.I. songs
I was taken aback.

Now though,
I’m finding myself in conversations with people
who have written lyrics for a long time
and can now bring their words to life with A.I.

It’s cool to have more people
to talk about Song Creation with.

Buddy brought a phrase I said to life
with an A.I. country song:
*Open Butthole, Closed Heart* 🥹
Banger.

Diplo says there’s no way to stop it
and if packaged right,
people are gunna eat it up.

The Machine is going to love
not having to deal with pesky humans.
[Ha! And “the machine” is humans here 🤪]

Movie studios & videogames could save $.

I don’t have as dark a take as
Billy Corgan’s “it’s a deal with the devil”,
but I have seen Terminator many times.

Want to mark this moment in time
where everything before now
has been organic:
no autotune,
no A.I.

I’m not against using A.I. in the future to,
let’s say: “add a crazy synth swell to this song”.

Would seem a bit wrong to
“add a choir of voices behind the main vocal” though.

But it could sound cool!

Could use A.I. to demo different ideas
in big projects like musicals.

I’ve asked A.I. about chord progressions a couple times.

I’ll let you know if/when I use it.
I don’t have music A.I. software at the moment.

I would always like to know
before listening to a song you send me,
if it is a machine.
That’s going to be a “new normal” question to ask.

I will *stampede* towards A.I.
being able to do the *mixing*
once I insert all the organic instruments.
That will save me lots of time.

When I was a kid
we had to blow on our
physical video game carts
to make them work
so this is a wild ride. 🤖
