🔥 Tesla has officially received approval for its Autonomous Vehicle Network Company permit in Nevada!
This clears the way for Tesla to launch a paid public Robotaxi service in Las Vegas.
✅ Permit allows up to 5,000 Robotaxis over the next 12 months
✅ Covers Clark County, including Las Vegas
✅ Tesla can potentially expand its geofence across Nevada by notifying the commission
✅ Tesla says it will start with a small fleet and scale gradually, starting with Model Y’s
✅ Replaces the previous interim order limiting the fleet to just 10 vehicles
✅ Commercial operations could begin once remaining administrative requirements are completed
Tesla completed Nevada’s Robotaxi self-certification process last November and applied for the permit on June 3, 2026.
A major step toward scaling Robotaxi in Nevada.

Wow, after taking a ride in the new Ojai vehicles, getting back in a Jaguar I-Pace for the next ride felt like going back in time.
The Ojai is spacious and beautiful while the I-Pace feels cramped and dated.
The Gen 5 driver is still better than the Gen 6 driver though. I expect Gen 6 to improve and surpass Gen 5 in time. But right now are you are getting more unnecessary braking, jitters, etc. I noticed the Gen 6 driver dropped me off in the middle of the street while Gen 5 was able to pull into the right parking lot. I think this is probably just Waymo setting the safety margins higher for Ojai because it’s new.
Overall my verdict is that I only want Ojai vehicles from here on out!
FSD in Sweden 🇸🇪

JPMorgan after meeting with Tesla recently in Fremont:
"Tesla indicated it is intentionally holding back on adding Model Y units to the robotaxi fleet, expressing confidence in its ability to scale Cybercab in the near-term. On FSD V15, Tesla views this release as a step-change in performance, comparable to the leap from V13 to V14. The V15 upgrade encompasses seven core technologies, with ~40% of those currently being tested in the robotaxi fleet, where initial feedback has been encouraging.
Tesla continues to focus on minimizing regression in core driving functions as it introduces new functionalities to the system, and FSD V15 is seen as the primary gateway to scaling unsupervised FSD. While the current AI/HW4 stack is capable of running V15 and supporting unsupervised FSD, Tesla’s AI4.5 compute system is designed to future-proof against rising compute (~10% higher FLOPS) and memory (~2x higher) demands as robotaxi models scale and context windows expand.
Management also reiterated that the Cybercab is just the initial form factor, with additional vehicle types expected to follow as the platform evolves (citing the obovan demo from the 10/10 event as an example).
Optimus is on track for SoP in the coming months with commercial sales expected as early as 2H27. The Gen 3 unveil will be timed closer to SoP to protect competitive advantage, while the scope of Gen 4 (in terms of capability, cost, and scalability) will be informed by Gen 3 field experience."
JPMorgan toured Tesla's Fremont factory and met with the IR team, and maintained its $TSLA price target of $475.
