On this episode, we meet a meteorologist who left weather behind to become a full-time saxophonist.

My guest is Jeffery, and while he still loves meteorology, making music is what truly feeds his soul.

Jeffery followed a path many of us take—getting a job for financial security, so we don’t have to worry, and neither do the people who care about us.

But that path can sometimes leave us feeling unfulfilled or incomplete, searching for who we really are. So Jeffery quit his job and began pursuing what fills his soul. For him, that meant jazz—specifically, the saxophone.

We also talk about the expectation that you’re supposed to learn the clarinet before the saxophone… and why he didn’t have time for that.
