Tonight in Duke of Edinburgh the group worked on their skills section. They each brought in an ingredient And made made pizzas 🍕
Using peppers and cucumbers that they helped to grow in our allotment. It’s absolutely amazing that they have grown then eaten their own produce.🥒

On a Friday we have 3 sessions running at once and it’s always jam packed!
Our Minis continued their Halloween themed sessions, Juniors learned some more break dance moves and our inters were doing some wood carving!

On Friday night our Minis and our Juniors created this beautiful Autumn leaf hand print tree 🍂🍁 🍂 to celebrate the time of Harvest and the Harvest Festival.
At the bottom of the tree they all wrote something that they were thankful for ❤️🤎🧡

Day 3 - We set off at 7am this morning for a 29hr none stop sail. We have split into two watches of Starboard &Port to take 3 hour legs of manning the Yatch until we get to Lowersoft tomorrow. We will be sailing through the night! Our toughest challenge yet

A miner’s wife from Sacriston, she was a leader of the vibrant women’s movement that grew across the Durham coalfield between the wars (1/6)
Self portrait by the Durham miner/artist Norman Cornish (1919-2014). A version of this painting was recreated on the wall of an old colliery building at Sacriston by local artist Lewis Durham.
The great Bobby Robson was born into a Durham mining family #OnThisDay in 1933.
Born in Sacriston, he grew up in Langley Park and began his working life aged 15 alongside his father at the village colliery.
He is pictured taking the UEFA Cup back home to Langley Park in 1981.
