Democratic figures arrested under the National Security Law last month are requested to report to the police this Sunday. It is suspected that charges might be put. Bails could be denied and years of imprisonment may ensue if they are convicted.

Breaking: Five pro-democracy politicians in #HongKong have just been arrested by police this morning for violating the #NSL, including Tiffany Yuen, Gwyneth Ho, Alvin Yeung, Fergus Leung and Ventus Lau. Four of them were related to participation in the Legco primary.
#Breaking Hong Kong police have arrested more than 50 pro-democracy politicians under the National Security Law.
Some of them are detained on suspicion of subverting state power, for having taken part in unofficial primary polls ahead of a planned legislative election.
The 50 people arrested this morning are the most vocal pro-democracy voices left in Hong Kong.
However, as they are arrested under the NSL, whether bail will be granted to them remains unknown.

HK waking to news of mass arrests of pro-democracy politicians for conducting a primary election which is being called an act of “subversion” under the national security law. Total numbers arrested not yet clear, but it seems to be dozens.
(update) Former lawmaker WU Chi Wai has just been arrested as well.
And many other who participated in the primary including Tiffany Yuen, Gary Fan etc were also arrested.
Local media are reporting that dozens of Hong Kong pro-democracy activists & politicians have been arrested under the National Security Law. This is the biggest crackdown so far under the NSL & the biggest ever wave of arrests of major pro-democracy figures in one day in HK.
Alvin Yeung, Ventus Lau & Gary Fan have also been arrested, according to their social media accounts. Fergus Leung is also being served with a search warrant at his home, so an arrest is likely to follow
That's at least seven arrests in relation to the pre-LegCo primary in July.
UPDATE: Multiple 2020 Legco candidates that participated in the pro-democracy camp primary were arrested at home this morning under the #NationalSecurityLaw for subversion.
Eddie Chu was again arrested this morning at 6:25 am pertaining to the 35+ primary election. Eddie Chu is accused of breaching the draconian National Security Law. It is not yet known which Police station has been sent to.
