Other running backs will be on the all-star lists, but it would be lying to say that these two backs are not the two best backs in the area. Their numbers are not the same for many reasons. They did not only split time in the same backfield, they also share the backfield with the best running QB in the area (who actually had more carries). They also lost a game of production to forfeit playing in only 9 games. But if you look at their production in the limited carries they got, they are spectacular. If they were the featured back on any other team I think both could be 1st team all stars. After all, Carter Jackson was one of my top running backs last year when he played for Granite Bay. Anyone who has seen this duo play knows they are two of the best in Sacramento.

Both players are lightening fast. Carter seeks contact and carries defenders for extra yardage. Rivera is twisty and can slick his way past defenders arms. I also admire their patience for hitting the open hole and waiting for a play to develop. They are both very willing blockers as well. It is an unfair abundance of riches at Folsom.

The Folsom Bulldogs continue to roll. On Friday night, Folsom defeated Jesuit 55-10. The Bulldogs pick up their 7th win in a row and move to 8-1 on the season. Folsom remains undefeated in SFL play, and will take on Granite Bay next Friday.

We had a battle of the Bulldogs in Folsom on Friday night. The Turlock Bulldogs made the trip to Folsom to take on the defending state champion Bulldogs. Folsom served Turlock a dominant 56-14 victory. Folsom moves to 2-1 on the season.
