In a letter dated October 21, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Anant Mittal informed BookMyShow Live Private Limited Director Anil Makhija that the request to organise the "Diljit Dosanjh's Aura India Tour Delhi" concert had been examined but could not be approved.

"In view of the specific threat-related inputs, coupled with the multifarious security and law and order commitments arising out of the ongoing festive season and other important law and order concerns, the same cannot be acceded to," the letter stated.
