@Wizarab10 If only the voices of Badagry people will be heard.
The real Lagosians with roots and ancestry in Lagos have been sidelined and completely ostracised from the affairs of the State.
They're been treated as outcasts. I hope they wake up one day.

When TikTok Replaces Textbooks: A Love Letter to the Students Who Still Try.
Once, in a small living room somewhere in Ugbowo, Benin City, my father would sit upright on the couch, his eyes heavy with sleep but his voice sharp, unwavering.... and the "koboko" clearly in view.... “You can sleep,” he’d say, “but not before you understand why x equals 2.”
And so we learned...not just arithmetic, but discipline. We learned the rhythm of repetition, the glory of delayed gratification, and the magic of seeing your own handwriting in a well-thumbed exercise book.
Now, I scroll through my feed and I see a different kind of learning. Or rather, I see what looks like its distant cousin...watered down, hashtagged, filtered. I see students who have the freedom we never dreamed of...and yet, somehow, they seem caged.
Caged by too much choice. Caged by the allure of endless distraction. They dance on TikTok and troll on X, and I wonder: When did we stop clocking the hours?
And yet...and this “and” matters 🥺...there are those who still rise. Who still find delight in solving mathematics problems posted online, who DM me to ask for clarity on quadratic equations, who make me believe that all is not lost... kudos.... I'm sure you all passed!
Because the truth...sharp and inconvenient...is that many cannot write a formal letter. Many cannot solve basic arithmetic. Many will not engage with educational content unless it dances for them, unless it comes with trending audio and neon captions.
But is this entirely their fault?
Or are we, the adults, the parents, the nation, simply tired? My father, who was not rich, bought every book we needed. He sacrificed comfort for comprehension. Today, I see too many parents who outsource parenting to tablets and teachers, who no longer stay awake through their children’s algebra struggles, who do not ask, “What did you learn today?”
In my Primary school days in Uniben Staff School... our notebooks were usually submitted, but my dad made sure we had what we called Copy Book. It was meant to quickly write what was on the chalkboard, so we can study at home. I knew my dad was extreme, but it was his style. Lots of parents put in effort, in similar ways.
And yet...and I will always say “and yet”...there is hope. There are students who resist the noise. Who read. Who ask questions. Who try.
To them, I say: keep trying. You may be few, but you are not invisible.
And to the rest of us: let us wake up. Because education is not dying. We are simply watching it drift, unanchored, while we hum along to the next trending sound.
Jamb may have contributed in their own way... but students are simply no more students!...
What’s Trending With @OjyOkpe - NBA Says N300M Was A Gift From Rivers State
The NBA has clarified that the N300M received from the Rivers State government for the 2025 Annual General Conference was a "gift" and not a payment for hosting rights.
The Rivers government had requested a refund after the NBA moved the conference from Port Harcourt to Enugu, citing constitutional violations in Rivers State.
