@endabey Random human who saw this. Idk if this is the right thing to say, but there are people in life who care abt u. Some who have yet to meet u. Death might bring an end to the pain, but it also takes away all the joy and happiness that could have been. I'm sorry u feel this way.
A open letter to ALL League streamers:
Yesterday, Tyler1 invited me to be apart of a Warcraft 3 tournament.
I played that game for 5 hours and felt something that I haven’t felt in 10 years of playing League;
A real sense of community.
Even though I barely play League nowadays, I’ve always tried my best in the past to organize fun events that could bring communities together;
- Races
- Bets
- Tournaments
Yet even after all this, it still feels like the League community is just a bunch of streamers that take part in their own cliques and are strangers to the rest of the world.
This is a travesty.
I understand streaming this game is a job, but don’t you want to have a sense of familiarity with others?
Don’t you want to be able to get in streamers games and have (even a small) sense of who they are outside of their gameplay?
The truth is that over time I feel like the game has become stagnant for many of us.
There’s no excitement anymore because rank has lost (almost) all meaning and the novelty has worn off.
In the past, I thought that doing region-encompassing tournaments would help; but there are TWO massive caveats.
League of Legends is greater than just one region,
And the streamers are greater than just one game.
It’s for this reason that I want to try something that the League of Legends content scene has never attempted before;
A hostile takeover of another game…
Minecraft.
If you’re already hyped, I’m happy to hear that.
If you’re not, I urge you to keep reading.
1-2 times a week, an event unfolds;
- 2 factions (NA Vs EUW) elect a team captain, create a team, and war against one another
- 15 League streamers try to survive unending hordes of parasites
- 30 streamers are dropped in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and must do their best to survive
- 10 League streamers take on 10 VALORANT streamers and see who can eliminate the other group first
The list goes on.
With mods, the possibilities are quite literally endless.
The only limiting factor is you.
For years many of us have always wanted to see the League scene elevate to a level where it feels like there is a real sense of brothership among everyone.
Riot hasn’t taken initiative after all these years, so I will.
If any of you read this post and feel like you want to be apart of this, DM me.
Hoping that we could set something insane up for next Saturday, so expect a lot more information and announcements coming soon.
We, as a people, have the opportunity to do something amazing,
We just have to do it together.
