@danimat37@ShillofNothing He is credited as a writer for that game. Not a story credit. Not with contributions by. Writer. Which means he has written quite a bit on it.
@AvengersUpdated Thanos had established his relationships with most of the Guardians crew, Loki and was revealed as the big threat since the original Avengers. Doom has had one shot in a post credit scene where he says nothing and it's not even clear if he knows the Fantastic Four.
@KingLuchaNYC@isuperebba If they add a second movie between Doomsday and Secret Wars then thats all good. But if you go from this to Secret Wars it will lose all the stuff that is good about that story.
@Phenomm_ Oh the script that leaked DEFINITELY had too much crammed into one movie as well. But you could have done that story in one movie. You can't do that and also introduce why Doom matters.
@Phenomm_ Not true. They originally were going to do this all with Kang where they had another movie and a TV show as a backstory to set it all up. That could have worked. This won't.
@HenryLouis21 I think this is what they are doing though. They are doing a soft reset so we don't have to do origin stories on everyone again. They will keep some actors, recast others. Seems like the right way to do it.
@TenableAcumen@sollydelight@TChalla_1966 Here is a visual aid to show the difference in scale between how much plot needs to be covered in Doomsday vs Secret Wars.
@jdkay904@MendezMovieRPT You are right. We don't need Doctor Doom teasers. We need a whole other Doctor Doom story before we do the events that lead to Secret Wars because this is too much stuff for one movie. It will become mush
@aljudanalrez You are missing the point. The problem isn't that you can't tell a great Doctor Doom story in one movie. The problem is you can't tell a great Doctor Doom story AND tell the story that leads us to Secret Wars in one movie. That is too much. You will underserve both of them.
