So now I'm thinking about ways to chill out, just sit, and even get bored with our kids. Park days and cloud watching were great when they were little. I find camping (tent camping or backpacking with no tech) to be a great way to do this as teens.
Yes! And our current go-do-be busy culture fights against that. Neuroscientists have learned that our brain changes directions when we get bored, and that leads to creativity. So embrace boredom and appreciate imagination.
