@HatingIsASport The worst part is reading that "third party was weak". How can they say that? I don't even own a Switch, and this direct had the third party announcements that interested me most out of all the shows, and I appreciated that they were multiplatform.

@Rou_Chiii From the reactions here about the direct, seems like nintendo fans outside of Japan don't like JRPGs, so they must have data to justify what they show and what don't.
I'm surprised by the negative reaction and not just to third party games, but also to Xenoblade and Fire Emblem.

@TriforceZard I don't understand. Maybe it's because I don't have a switch, but seriously: Rhythm Heaven, Splatoon, Xenoverse, Fire Emblem, Ocarina of Time remake, third party JRPGs, Duskbloods, etc. Is everything considered bad by nintendo fans? What do they like?

@L1nko64 These kinds of games are produced because that's what mainstream normies consume. They like realistic graphics and a "movie-like" feel.
Any stylized game, any indie or AA title is treated as garbage. These are the same people who later write: "They don't make good games anymore."
