RN Air Engineer, currently in Navy Cmd. All in to become a better golfer. Retired cricketer (Devon / UKAF / RN). My views are my own. #BusyGettingBetter
@rossmacleodputt I’ve been a student on Skillest for more than 4yrs now. It’s a great app and always improving. The ability to flag lessons is brilliant for reminding you ‘what your good looks like’ when you’re working through some challenging changes.
All the best as you expand your base.
@TheStoicSailor I reckon that those who took the run around the peri-track option would be agile enough to dodge the shrapnel after you take it down, a win-win for mandatory fun I say
@jamierkennedy My favourite quirky thing about that range is that they have the replica green of 17 (on the amateur side) but it’s in the opposite wind direction to the course so you can’t really practice the shot
Look it’s a really tough life being me, I have to take my humans to the Taphouse and they don’t even buy me pork scratchings, here I am talking to my pint ‘cause no one loves me #KrakenLife
@rossmacleodputt I have the SKx in the bag, admittedly a small sample size but my SGP has been 0 to +1.4 (vs scratch) in 5 rounds since. Looks really nice over the ball and after making the mistake to move away from SeeMore last season I am so much happier being back to hiding the red dot!
@BallFitting any news on when ball fitting is going to be available outside the US? I feel like I’ve been checking the FAQ for at least 3 years now and it’s still saying the same thing about you expanding in the future, just wondering how long into the future we’re talking 🤷🏻♀️
@cashflowgolfer @engineeringolf 💯 worth a regular check in, you never know when you might find that extra few % or something you’ve been working on leads to a worthwhile change #TinkeringIsFun
@cashflowgolfer @engineeringolf Completely agree, find the right shaft and you’re set for life (assuming mechanics/speed are fairly stable) then tweak the head over time to benefit from the technology improvements. I’ve been in the same shaft for almost a decade with 3 heads in that time
@chrismccausland - I just wanted to say thank you for making the absolutely brilliant @BBC documentary about seeing the future. Absolutely fascinating and the life changing possibilities are awe inspiring. Bravo! 👏
@engineeringolf I do slightly disagree. I enjoy tinkering (aero engineer here) - and club school has been so interesting! However…I’ve gained so much from working with a coach to guide my development: knowledge from him + work ethic from me = lower handicap (quicker than going solo)
@4golfonline@ArccosGolf I suspect that all those saying putting have possibly not been on/seen the greens at Saunton. If you’re on the opposite half of the green to the pin on (for example) 10 and 13 a three putt isn’t a bad result!
