@PeurAvion Il y a de la couverture régionale de bande L par satellite : est ce qu'ils utilisent les pièces LORA de 4e génération pour le contrôle par satellite?
@GrandpaRoy2 Reading the translation of the Russian reference at the bottom : they use sdr to analyze the traffic. The claim of tdoa for the very small differences of arrival implies that the local oscillator frequency be very accurate like rubidium accuracy : is it practical???
@GrandpaRoy2 I wonder is this is the same Meshtatic-sniffer that is referred to in this post : https://t.co/bFAfDkcnSI ? There is a github repo for it.
@GrandpaRoy2 it can be used in (1.525-1.660GHz) and S (1.9-2.1GHz) . Next thing you know, they will be used to control fpv's from low orbiting satellites. This would be a new challenge for jamming
@GrandpaRoy2@bernhard_knoll My speculation: Divide the 2.4 GHz band in 3 separate frequency ranges. Some jammers sweep typ. @40KHz across the total band. For very short length packets might get through without being hit . Damaged packets are ignored by Lora. It's on the ground: did not work out for them
@GrandpaRoy2 "the evasion systems " he is referring to ,is probably the same as referred to in this post: https://t.co/GmxWFZykEM . for A human controlling an interceptor with a joystick : difficult to intercept
I’ve always wondered; could a software algorithm (ML or otherwise) evade an incoming missile better than a human pilot?
Perhaps even at the expense of a blackout.
*You* might be able to only handle 9G…but what if the airframe can take 12?
…it (sorta) exists.
@GrandpaRoy2 2- Mesh networks are difficult to destroy. There was a case in the Iran-Irak war where the American bombed the Iranians massively with B52's. The Iranian mesh radio network on HF radio was still working for low bit rate messages as reported by an IEEE journal back then
@GrandpaRoy2 1- He needs to take care if he reconnects the mesh modem : it will likely try to reconnect to the mesh network. and act as relay for any drones in that area. Or maybe use that property to track the mesh traffic and radio locate incoming traffic?
@naomibrockwell those voip ideas assume you have a data link with the tower (lte ?) . So the towers have to coordinate (record?) your location for the lte link to work reliably (find out which tower is handling your link) . If location privacy is required : do not use a cell phone
@i2cjak Nice work, at that frequency, anything metal is part of the antenna. It's possible to tune by trial and error. But also possible is to predict the impedance seen by the chip using hfss software.
@sambendett that is what fpv radio links already do. The lora signal hops at multiple frequencies. The hopping pattern is unique to every link through a code shared by tx and rx. Sometimes they collide, but the control protocol is sufficiently robust
@GrandpaRoy2 2- If a higher power is used in one of the distributed jammers, I would expect the null to be deeper in that direction. Making the other nulls more shallow. If they all have equal power, i would expect equal nulls
