@elonmusk#socialsecurity is not an “entitlement.” We pay into it throughout our entire working lives (same with Medicare). Its mandatory. They take it directly out of our paychecks. This is something you would understand if you had ever actually worked a day in your life.
@daveanthony Seriously, though, I do feel like all I’m going to be able to do is try to band together with my neighbors in need and try to help each other stay afloat.
@daveanthony@UQprofessional I know I am. I find it ridiculous that Missouri voted for abortion rights, but then reelected Trump and haw… Hawley. (Excuse me. I threw up in my mouth a bit there.)
All the work we did for women’s rights won’t mean shit if/when they decide to enact a nationwide ban.
After pleading with my grandma to not vote for Trump (for the sake of her 4 great granddaughters), providing her with ALL the P2025 info, and being told the “I don’t mix family and politics” nonsense, I’m now praying the C Diff, Ecoli, or liver cirrhosis wins soon. @daveanthony
@daveanthony What I posted here (not Reddit) was actually agreeing with you. Like, covid should have been settled in a matter of months. Unfortunately, a whole slew of morons refused to mask and stay home. Sorry if my tone wasn’t clear.
“It’s going to be a bumpy road for the next… month, I would say?” - @daveanthony, April 6th 2020 (the Dollop #424: The Co-op War)
I think at the start of Covid all of us reasonable people thought the same thing, until ::gestures broadly at everything::
