Les forces israéliennes stationnées aux abords de la localité de Chaqra, dans le sud du Liban, ont procédé à la démolition de la maison du journaliste Ibrahim Al-Amin, président du conseil d’administration et rédacteur en chef du quotidien libanais Al-Akhbar.

Le ministre israélien Amichaï Chikli revendique une campagne contre la Hind Rajab Foundation pour protéger un soldat accusé de crime de guerre !

Le ministre israélien des Affaires de la Diaspora, Amichaï Chikli, a affirmé que les autorités israéliennes avaient mobilisé leurs relais politiques au Brésil pour contrer une procédure visant un soldat israélien soupçonné de crimes de guerre.

Selon Chikli, après qu’une procédure visant le militaire a été engagée au Brésil, Israël a contacté Eduardo Bolsonaro, fils de l’ancien président Jair Bolsonaro. Le ministre affirme lui avoir transmis en portugais un dossier consacré à la Hind Rajab Foundation, organisation à l’origine de la plainte contre le soldat.

Chikli affirme qu’Eduardo Bolsonaro a ensuite relayé ces éléments sur ses réseaux sociaux et dans les médias brésiliens, permettant, selon lui, de lancer « une campagne » contre la fondation au Brésil.

« Nous créons toute une campagne contre la Hind Rajab Foundation au Brésil grâce à nos amis », affirme le ministre israélien, ajoutant que cette mobilisation aurait contribué à faire disparaître la menace judiciaire pesant sur le militaire et à mettre le gouvernement de Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva en difficulté politiquement.

“According to Dr. Karim Bitar, lecturer in Middle East studies at Sciences Po Paris and professor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, the images from Lebanon provide a snapshot of Israel's new strategy in Lebanon. 

“What is happening today is significantly different from what happened between 1978 and 2000 when Israel occupied Lebanon," Bitar told Arab News. 

"Today, it appears that there is an Israeli willingness not only to occupy part of Lebanon, but to make it uninhabitable, empty of its civilian population.”

The destruction visible around Beaufort forms part of a much wider transformation of southern Lebanon that can be observed from space.

Satellite images of Majdal Zoun taken a year apart show a dramatic expansion of cleared and destroyed areas across the town.

Dr. Bitar warned that international descriptions of the border areas obscure the true humanitarian and political reality on the ground:

“International media are still using expressions like ‘buffer zone,’ or ‘security zone,’ or ‘yellow zone,’ or whatever. And I think these expressions are rather dangerous because they turn a political issue into a security issue," he said

"Because what we are dealing with is dehumanization and the politics of ethnic cleansing into a purely security framework.”

Highlighting the existential nature of the ongoing clearance operations, Dr. Bitar stressed that Israel was attempting to redraw the map of the and permenantly expand their occupation. 

“Israel is making daily statements that they intend to remain indefinitely in south Lebanon, just like they intend to remain indefinitely in Gaza and in Syria and let's not forget that the West Bank's annexation is almost complete," he said. 

"So what is happening is part of a general Israeli strategy. The expansionism is clear... Today, there is an existential threat facing Lebanon.

There is an axis in the region pushing for chaos and fragmentation. Israel wouldn't mind to see Lebanon and Syria dismantled into small sectarian or ethnic statelets.”

DÉLUGE DE FEU SUR LE SUD DU LIBAN DEPUIS CE MATIN, DES DIZAINES DE VICTIMES DONT PLUSIEURS ENFANTS

Depuis la nuit dernière et à l’aube ce samedi, l’armée israélienne a mené plusieurs frappes aériennes et bombardements dans différentes localités du sud du Liban.

Durant la nuit, les collines d’Ali Al-Taher ont été visées. À l’aube, des frappes ont également ciblé les localités d’Ansar, de Nabatieh Al-Fawqa et de Deir Zahrani.

À Ansar, une frappe a fait sept morts, dont trois enfants et deux femmes, selon les premiers éléments rapportés. Plusieurs autres personnes ont également été blessées. Parmi les victimes figurent Zainab et ses quatre enfants, Hassan, Zahra Abbas et Hussein.

À Deir Zahrani, une autre frappe a touché un complexe résidentiel, faisant, selon les premiers rapports, des dizaines de victimes. Le bilan reste susceptible d’évoluer alors que les opérations de secours se poursuivent.

Le Premier ministre libanais, Nawaf Salam, a réagi dans la matinée, condamnant les frappes israéliennes et dénonçant les attaques menées sur le territoire libanais.

Une unité israélienne a détruit des dizaines d’habitations civiles à Majdal Zoun, dans le sud du Liban, en présentant cette opération comme un acte de représailles après la mort de manière inexpliquée d’un commandant de la 55e brigade israélienne au sud du Liban il y 1 semaine.

Les images des destructions ont ensuite été transmises à la famille du militaire en hommage à sa mémoire.
