Yesterday's horrific attack on the King Khalid airport in Riyadh is the latest proof that the regime in Tehran will never seek peace. Since 1979, whether directly or through its proxies, it has waged war on the Kingdom and sought instability.

I express my condolences to King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia at the lives lost in this terrorist attack. The Houthis and their campaign of chaos will end when Iran is free and the friendly relations between our two countries are restored.

In line with the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, and recent decisions taken by its Strategic Political and Defense Committee, our commitment to the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and security is resolute. We also fully support Saudi Arabia’s legitimate right to defend its people and protect its cities and vital infrastructure.

The Houthi militia must immediately cease these attacks. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia in the face of these threats.
