When I cast my vote for President Biden, I wasn't expecting much. I just wanted trump out of office.
I knew he was old.
I knew he had a stutter.
I knew he had a rep for "gaffes."
I didn't care. Just wanted trump gone.
Four years later, things are different.
I wasn't expecting that President Biden would be the most legislatively successful President in my lifetime.
I wasn't expecting him to help expand NATO.
I wasn't expecting him to lower insulin & inhalers.
I wasn't expecting him to create & recover 15m jobs.
I wasn't expecting him to bring manufacturing back.
I wasn't expecting him to forgive student debt.
But he did ALL those things, and more.
He surpassed my expectations by a lot.
And he has more planned for 2025-2028.
He's not a master orator,
He doesn't move so smoothly
But neither did FDR from his wheelchair.
Meanwhile, trump is STILL a threat.
He wants to be a dictator.
He wants to stay out of prison.
He wants revenge on his enemies.
He wants to take away from the poor and middle class and give to the ultra wealthy.
His Project 2025 will enable a national abortion ban to criminalize women seeking safe and legal abortions.
His Project 2025 will take away the rights of our LGBTQ family and friends.
His Project 2025 will transform the government into a loyalty pledge, not to America but to him ALONE.
We might never have another free election.
THAT is what is at stake in this election.
We can continue to progress with Biden policies, or we can let trump destroy democracy as we know it.
If you're looking for someone who's young and athletic, go watch a fucking movie.
I'll take the old guy who needs a nap while saving democracy over the old guy trying to overthrow democracy who needs a legal team.

@JayAshcroftMO@realDonaldTrump@JoeBiden Trump is a traitor to democratic rule...there is no comparison with Biden...how dare you even suggest this? Trump was unqualified as president by moral standards alone and you support that deplorable man!
@JayAshcroftMO@realDonaldTrump@JoeBiden hey dufus. you realize it's apples and oranges re: Trump
and Biden? (that was rhetorical ya idiot ) Biden has not engaged in insurrection or any
other crimes; tRump has 91 felonies in four states, both for federal and civil state crimes.
You got it diplo-oma from T U?
Donald trump wasn't removed from the Colorado ballot by President Biden.
He wasn't removed by the Democratic party.
He wasn't removed by the Deep State.
He wasn't even removed by the 6 Republicans who filed a lawsuit to have his seditious ass removed from the Colorado ballot.
Donald trump was removed from the Colorado ballot because his own heinous, unforgivable actions leading up to and on January 6th caused the chaos and mayhem that unfolded into the insurrection that the entire planet witnessed that day.
He was removed because he waited 187 minutes before he did anything to stop the violence, despite his closest aides' and family members' pleas, while cops were being beaten with flagpoles.
He was removed by States Rights, Republicans' favorite excuse for taking away our rights.
If the founding fathers were alive today, they'd ask are we out of our f*cking minds by even considering to allow that traitor to run for office?
Protection against a fascist loser like him is the reason they came up with Section 3 of the 14th Amendment in the first place.
If it doesn't apply to him, it doesn't apply to anyone.
Colorado got it right, folks.
It's not that complicated.
Let's hope SCOTUS doesn't f*ck it up.

a new podcast I just began following that is well-done, topical, appears un-biased,

sharing this on my page to
provide folks an opportunity
to listen + judge for yourself
on the content/ context.
A Democrat was in the White House when my family was sent to the internment camps in 1941. It was an egregious violation of our human and civil rights.
It would have been understandable if people like me said theyโd never vote for a Democrat again, given what had been done to us.
But being a liberal, being a progressive, means being able to look past my own grievances and concerns and think of the greater good. It means working from within the Democratic party to make it better, even when it has betrayed its values.
I went on to campaign for Adlai Stevenson when I became an adult. I marched for civil rights and had the honor of meeting Dr. Martin Luther King. I fought for redress for my community and have spent my life ensuring that America understood that we could not betray our Constitution in such a way ever again.
Bill Clinton broke my heart when he signed DOMA into law. It was a slap in the face to the LGBTQ community. And I knew that we still had much work to do. But I voted for him again in 1996 despite my misgivings, because the alternative was far worse. And my obligation as a citizen was to help choose the best leader for it, not to check out by not voting out of anger or protest.
There is no leader who will make the decision you want her or him to make 100 percent of the time. Your vote is a tool of hope for a better world. Use it wisely, for it is precious. Use it for others, for they are in need of your support, too.
@capfly172@Jon_Blau U like the kool aid huh?
The left wants someone who brings us together as Biden is, not the socialist trump speaking of jailing his fellow americans + using military against its own citizens 4 tRumps desires, not whats best 4 the country. UR reality is lacking; crackalacking.
why no Democrats on the list?
Is it a subset? Investigators
need to understand why these politicians "qualified" for loan forgiveness, + if/ how these
"businesses" fared be4, during
+ after pandemic assistance
2 ensure NO FRAUD.
Can it survive the sunshine of transparency?
