@bryan_johnson Results were inferential, not demonstrated. That is to say nothing of the study’s design flaws, which doesn’t mean it was a bad study as a starting point for investigation, but results are hypothesis-generating at best.

If Objectivism is nothing more than her idiosyncratic views, sure. But, if Objectivism is the application of reason, then neither her mouth nor the words that emanate from it shape Objectivism. She is a Ph.D. mathematician or scientist of Objectivism, so to speak, and certainly its preeminent thinker in much the same way that Einstein is respecting relativity. However, is Einstein the steward of relativity and the only one who can lay claim to setting forth its principles? Either Objectivism is reason or it’s not.

At 46yo, I made a new year’s resolution for 2023. Didn’t worry about diet for 5 months. Just wanted to form an exercise habit. No cardio. Lifted for hypertrophy. Classic lifts, nothing fancy. Dialed in my diet when lifting became automatic, following Layne’s basic rules: high protein, high fiber, low saturated fat, and proper caloric range. I got ripped with lots of muscle. I don’t always eat clean, but it’s easy to get back on track and I don’t skip workouts. That’s my one rule. Been in great shape ever since.
