@JuroOsawa Great piece. Here is an analysis I wrote last week outlining the reasons I suspect the venture capital worlds are diverging faster than expected: https://t.co/QCqhxN35Wz

Something New weekly episode is w/ @kurtisjlin today!!
had so much fun talking about the sh*tshow of early stage startups (see clip 😂) and also his many gems of wisdom from his time building @pinwheelapi into the $500m series b fintech startup it is today ✨🚀
Super interesting chart from our friends at BofA regarding historical software multiples at IPO - some very good companies priced in the 5-8x forward revenue range prior to '20 and seems that's where we're headed again
Venture is an optimistic industry. It considers what can become, not simply what is today. That requires a belief that the best is ahead.
Realistic optimism can be a superpower for founders. Look no further than @TaraViswanathan, she embodies it.

AI can turn every consumer into a prosumer --> I recently had lots of fun building an e-commerce store in 2 hours with AI, all thanks to my amazing, 24/7 standby team: Chief Research Officer New Bing, Chief Content Creator ChatGPT, Chief Graphics Designer Midjourney, and Project Manager Canva. Here is how I did it: https://t.co/QqdEGrLWqd
The majority of the value produced by AI will flow to the end users, creating unprecedented consumer surplus ⚡️
@TaliaGold explores the AI-native ecosystem—across consumer and enterprise—& the new layer of developer tools ➡️ https://t.co/33sFIISKDS

Nothing beats in person. Come say hi tonight!
"There is a bit of rejuvenation or reinvigoration of the cloud because of new tech developments such as generative AI," said BVP's Janelle Teng. https://t.co/3vSSKogy9r
My recent Substack about the Temu's playbook was published on @techinasia today🚀 Shein and Temu mark the beginning of what I’d call “China Cross-border Commerce 3.0", which I define as the rise of cross-border B2C platforms with Chinese characteristics. The 3.0 platforms 1) apply online shopping models proven in China to shape consumer purchasing behavior overseas, and 2) further optimize supply chain cost structures by leveraging the scale of economies from their domestic business and China’s super manufacturing power. Exciting times ahead!
If Temu can replicate its sister company’s success in building a customer base and an efficient consumer-to-manufacturer model, the sky’s the limit. https://t.co/I7SXRtbjSa
