There's a tool that can help you do just that.

It's called the Eisenhower (yes it’s after the former US president) Matrix. A rather simple way to divide your tasks into four parts:

𝗗𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁:
These are the things that are super important and super urgent. You need to do them right now or else. Like finishing a report for your boss, investors or clients or saving the world from Thanos.

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲:
These are the things that are important but not urgent. They are good for your future, but you can do them later. Like working out, learning a new language, or booking a trip.

𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲:
These are the things that are urgent but not important. They need to be done fast, but they don't really matter to you. You can ask someone else to do them for you. Like answering a call, setting up a meeting, or ordering food.

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗗𝗼:
These are the things that are not important and not urgent. They are just distractions that waste your time and energy. You should get rid of them or avoid them completely. Like scrolling through social media, playing games, dance to the latest tiktok songs or watching TV.

By using the Eisenhower Matrix, you can focus on the things that really matter and make you happy. You can also stress less by avoiding procrastination and managing your time better.
