4. Siri can now remember your past chats
Why each one matters, in the thread below.
What "AI disproved the ETH" actually means for you:
The Exponential Time Hypothesis held that problems like 3-SAT can't be solved in sub-exponential time. It's the basis for hundreds of "this is hard" results.
OpenAI says its model proved it false, with a Lean proof.
What changes:
- Your apps today: nothing. OpenAI says turning this into faster algorithms needs a lot more research.
- Researchers: results that assumed ETH need a second look.
- The review: led by ETH's original proposers, Impagliazzo and Paturi, with MIT's Ryan Williams.
@OpenAI@Cloudflare 4/ iOS 27.2 is out. Siri AI can now recall past conversations and adds French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Not in the EU or mainland China.
Why it matters: AI memory is moving into your phone's built-in assistant.
