@safe_hrm@g_meslin You obviously don't know that section of Yonge. It's not a suburban arterial. What people who are trying to sound cool call a "stroad."
@BOWZ6CV Right on red is a travesty. Never met a driver who follows rule that you must come to a complete stop, check it is safe to proceed, then turn right on red. As a pedestrian, I ALWAYS assume they will not be stopping. If I didn't I'd be dead a hundred times over.
@BOWZ6CV@jen_keesmaat Then we can be friends.π Also illegal here, but all I hear is excuses. There is never any excuse for it. With disabled family members I am acutely aware of the danger cyclists on sidewalks pose (also those that ride in crosswalks and run red light/stop signs and fail to yield).
@BOWZ6CV@jen_keesmaat They shouldn't be riding. I don't have the skills or confidence to ride on the road, but I don't break the law and put pedestrians at risk. I don't ride. Also, I have seen numerous riding on sidewalks along The Esplanade where they have installed a doublewide protected bike lane.
