Some words are too important to be used carelessly.

“Far right.”
“Racist.”
“Fascist.”
“Extremist.”
They should mean serious things.
But when serious words are stretched too far, they can stop helping us think clearly.
9/ I’m interested in the space between lazy labelling and genuine danger.
Between patriotism and nationalism.
Between frustration and hatred.
Between democratic dissent and authoritarian politics.
Those distinctions matter.
AI is starting to surface questions that used to belong to religion.

Organisations say they want to be data-driven.
Until the data says something uncomfortable.
Then suddenly:
– the data is wrong
– the definitions are unclear
– more analysis is needed
