I’m reconsidering something I used to treat like fact:
Market cap does not decide the ceiling on certain coins. 🐂
Market cap is just price × circulating supply. It is a snapshot. It is not a law.
That’s why $ZBCN, $XRP, and $XLM can still go to 3 and 4 digit numbers.
These are rails. Not trophies. They are built to move value, not sit idle. Settlement volume can dwarf the cap because the asset does not have to be warehoused like a store of value. Banks don’t hold every dollar they clear. Bridge assets don’t have to either.
Price is set by the coins actually for sale. When demand becomes forced — payments, payroll, liquidity, settlement — the book does not care what CMC said yesterday. The cap expands after the price expands.
So I’m done using today’s market cap to call tomorrow’s price “impossible” on $ZBCN, $XRP, and $XLM.
Some coins get valued like stocks. These get valued like infrastructure.
