@pothen s
what we're doing is getting ready to spend $500 million on a parking garage, if we're lucky. it may well end up being a $1 billion parking garage.
@TomPark1n we don't, Billy Bishop traffic has dropped and they're increasing Pearson's capacity. Any YTZ expansion will increase traffic such that it'll be faster to get to Pearson via the UP express than to YTZ. And the expansion will ruin the most valuable waterfront in the country.
@Anthony__Koch this is a fantasy. find me one example of someone celebrating a bureaucrat. the business people we hate are the monopolists like Rogers, Bell, Loblaws, etc. that drive up consumer costs while killing innovation
@ArmandDoma@dsnakenbacon when literally $trillions are invested, the onus to show value is on those pushing for AI. the fact that Claude does some useful stuff is far from sufficient.
@EricDLombardi And SpaceX may have done amazing things, but the valuation is based on smoke and mirrors and corruption and scams. Making Musk your hill to die on shows very questionable judgement for someone aspiring to Canadian leadership.
@EricDLombardi I generally support you and wish you well in the race. but you need to step back & consider why people feel the way they do about Musk. It isn't envy or tall poppy syndrome. it's a recognition of who he is, how he caused enormous suffering via Doge, how he props up Trump.
@MarkBourrie I've always voted L. Joined party to support Carney's leadership and donated a decent amount of $. They build the airport and they're dead to me. I'll throw away my vote to NDP forever just out of spite. hell I'll vote Con because if voting L still wrecks my city, why bother?
@prakharkhanduja in China right now. it's pristine, no garbage anywhere and very clean air. infrastructure like HSR and city subways are amazing. People are very friendly and helpful (thank goodness for translation apps). India being like this is unimaginable, no matter how much GDP grows.
@Blake_Allen13 as a Canadian who's been to the US over a hundred times, covering about 30 states, with family throughout the US, I've never felt it's one bit wealthier than Canada. But I've definitely seen areas that felt much poorer.
