It’s way different from if she were a piece of calligraphy or sewing or whatever. Then I would be like, this is bad and I am bad for not succeeding at it. But I succeeded at making a baby so that’s nice.
One of the wildest things about having a baby is that for maybe the first time in my life I have a Made A Thing that I am not immediately harshly critical of and just hate it because it cannot possibly live up to my expectations.
Like, I made a baby and she’s great and even though she only does baby stuff she is absolutely nailing it. Sleeping, making dirty nappies, crying, being cute? A+ across the board.
Hi Twitter people, I had a baby. It did not go to plan and recovery will not be quite as expected. Also the baby is a tiny bit unwell, nothing serious at this stage but very scary anyway. But also the baby is wonderful 🥰 I hope my cats like her 😻😻
My dad hasn’t picked a “grandparent name” for himself and I’m finding that stressful. Mum was easy, my FIL is easy (thank you, different culture with go-to grandparent name option!) but dad’s just like “whatever” and that is unhelpful tbh.
I’m kinda getting used to having this squirmy baby on my insides. It’ll be weird when she’s on my outsides and my uterus is empty and all my organs go back to their rightful places.
I hope the Writer's Strike works out for the writers. I love television and would like to see good television keep being made and the makers of it be compensated appropriately for their work.
Okay controversial take here but I didn’t hate Persuasion, the 2022 film. I thought the 4th wall breaks were an interesting nod to Austen’s use of free indirect speech.
It's been 2 years since #Wandavision came out and I'm still not over the way they used Evan Peters and (maybe accidentally) teased a merging of the X-Men universe with the MCU. Turns out that's not what they were really doing but I still cannot even about it all.
