Subscription upgrades sound simple until payments fail.

Earlier, a plan change could go through even if the payment did not. That leads to awkward situations: users on a higher plan, but no successful charge.

@dodopayments latest release, v1.81.0, introduces the on_payment_failure flag for subscription updates. You now control whether a plan change should apply only after a successful payment.

Fewer edge cases. Cleaner billing logic. Less support pain.
Billing should behave the way your business expects.
