I first two CDs were Dookie and the Blue Album. I have seen Weezer a couple times but last night was the first time I saw Green Day live. They sounded great and it was a joy finally hearing such an amazing album in its entirety.

A couple of us have been playing trivia weekly for the past year and a half. After some stand out games this week and last, we should hopefully be on lock to make it to the league championships next month.

I doubt we’ll win it all but it’s been a blast working our way up there.

Continuing my year of shows, I’m seeing Head Automatica tonight. Kind of surprising that I’ve never seen them live (or Glassjaw for that matter) so I’m definitely stoked for tonight.

Also last week I picked up earplugs to use at shows.

I used them for the first time last night. We were up in the loge section next to the speakers which is louder but I took them in and out a couple times to compare and the difference was crazy.

Definitely was a good purchase.

I don’t know why but 2024 is the year of me going to basically any show that suits me. Like yesterday while at a Frank Turner show, we got tickets to see the Descendents/Circle Jerks.

I’ve really been getting into The Descendents more lately and it’s on the island. So why not?

Played hooky today and went to a small local museum with my best friend. Fun to explore a little without even having to leave the island.

For the last year, we’ve been going to trivia at our favorite brewery with friends. We often win/do well but tonight we really cleaned up and bumped up our league score.

Tonight was a music themed night...so I finally stopped being a personality hire and pulled my weight.

Drove to a north shore brewery in a town where the houses are more expensive than I could dream to afford. Grabbed a pint, sat out side at a table and Billy Joel playlist immediately started playing.

A very Long Island experience.

Drove to NJ on a random Thursday like it was the mid-2000’s to see some bands that I like from the mid-2000’s.

As far as nights go, it was a pretty good one.
