@David90shaw It’s far worse than that. Bluesky is a predatory groomer and trafficking site. Their plans for the children is far worse than indoctrination.
History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
@joshjordand@litcapital Shares value aside, in terms of economic value from revenue, jobs, suppliers, wages, multiplier effects etc etc etc, it’s reasonable to frame Elon Musk’s companies’ contributions in the trillions over the last decade. What value has she provided that equals that?
Everything happening today, everything, is a result of the collapse of the nation state and rise of the sovereign individual. We are living through the dying gasps of a stage 4 patient clinging to life support. It will be a rough few years.
I can design, build, deploy and scale any app, original or clone, in days. If you think AI is in any way a bubble or slop it is entirely a skills issue and/or you have never used it. Blunt but true.
Australia’s under-16s social media ban has been a complete failure.
It will be a complete failure in the UK as well.
It’s not about “protecting children.” It’s about the mass surveillance of adults and what we say online. A dangerous threat to our civil liberties.
True. The British press has failed today.
Few journalists if any seem to grasp what this means.
It’s a fundamental reshaping of modern civil liberty and the internet in the UK.
Seismic loss of privacy.
Millions of adults will have limited web access. In a democracy...? 🤡
Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all.

@UrFriendTay@thedealdirector It’s a tremendously bad product but it’s “enterprise”, checks the right checkboxes, and a reasonable investment. Quality and profitability don’t always go hand in hand.
@Jayde8700 The CRA is useless. It was so bad I used to call 3 times to get an answer to a question or clarification. If two of the answers matched I used it. Many times all three answers were different and it would need a fourth or fifth call and my own backing research. I feel his pain.
You’ll notice there is no look-back celebration or remembrance of this or virtually any of the other great moral victories from that era. It’s all been memory holed, a will-o'-the-wisp dimming out in the far distance.
