Whampoa, a residential area near the Polytechnic University of HK. Citizens gather to support the students trapped in the university campus. We are worrying #Tienanmen2019 may happen in HongKong tonight. The world is watching. #PleaseRT#SaveHongKong#HKGovtKillsCitizen
The Chinese and #HongKong governments must immediately deescalate the situation and exercise restraint at #PolyU. More violence & bloodshed will only make things worse.
The world is watching. #StandWithHongKong#DemocracyForHK
[Police staged war at University AGAIN]
Thousands of HKers include 5 of my friends are trapped in PolyU by the riot police. Police put their life at risk. Police have just used the mic with speaker and urge them to "surrender".

"I'm at #PolyU, everyone pls help us
Spent whole day defending, we're all so tired. When someone next to us got shot, we're too scared to know how to react
Pls help. We aren't able to leave
To me this is endgame, HKers can you fight w/us? Hope this won't be my last post"
Protesters fortified exit at Building Y. Police fired several rounds of teargas and weapons that caused extremely loud bangs, which according to a journalist, are sonic weapons that caused ringing in his ears.
A frontliner did a quick Q&A on this sleepless night. Summary:
- H/she is fucking scared (yes, we used the f word)
-"We don't have a choice; must only fight till the end"
- They can't leave the ones in #PolyU behind
-They don't want to go to jail but do not regret stepping out
Sunday morning and the teargassing starts again. Police firing from both sides, right outside the Polytechnic University.
Seems the wind is in the students’ favor though.

The police continue to broadcast messages asking protesters inside PolyU to surrender, choosing to describe them as “civilians”, and playing songs.
Messages circulating on social media suggest that some are refusing to do so, and have written their wills.

NOW IN #HONGKONG: what a photo by @cityusuedb. As police armored car inched close to #PolyU students shielding themselves behind umbrellas, petrol bombs were thrown as last defense and the car was set on fire. The clash is happening on the rooftop of a bridge. #HongKongProtests
But there is no way out at Block Y of #POLYU, the spot designated by police. Frontline protesters also criticising those who want to leave, saying that it’s a trap and questioning what they came into campus in the first place.
After sieging CUHK, the hk police is now surrounding every corners of Poly U. There are still hundreds of student protestors inside. The police is forcing their way in. Please save the young people. The hk police and ccp always want another 8964. #PolyU#PolyUMassacre
