As long as the collegium system in Judiciary exists, attacks on reservation will continue. 🔥🔥
Justice B.V. Nagarathna questioned why children of IAS and IPS officers should continue to receive reservation benefits.
But reservation is not a poverty alleviation scheme. Its foundation is social and educational backwardness, caste discrimination and centuries of exclusion.
IPS officer Puran Singh still faced caste discrimination despite his position, and tragically died by suicide. Similarly, IAS officer Rinku Singh Rahi faced caste-based harassment and was forced to resign. There are thousands of such examples.
Caste oppression, untouchability, discrimination and social hatred are not based on income, they are rooted in caste. Even IAS and IPS officers are not free from casteism. Money does not erase caste discrimination. 🔥🔥
Every third high court judge is a uncle.
Dynasties prevail in Judiciary.
Why cant Judiciary first implement creamy layer?
One Family One Judgeship formula in all HC, SC and all important posting of judiciary.
Creamy layer in Judiciary should be excluded right
His name was GN Saibaba.
He was born in 1967 in Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh. He contracted polio at age five and used a wheelchair for the rest of his life. More than 90 percent of his body was paralysed.
He topped his university in his undergraduate degree. Completed his masters from the University of Hyderabad. Finished his PhD from Delhi University. He became an assistant professor of English at Ram Lal Anand College, Delhi University.
He spent years writing and advocating for the rights of Adivasi communities in central India.
On May 9, 2014, Maharashtra Police came to Delhi University campus and took him blindfolded to Gadchiroli without informing his wife.
He was charged under UAPA for alleged links with a banned Maoist organisation.
The Bombay High Court later noted in its 293 page judgment that Maharashtra Police brought a barber as their witness for the search conducted at his home on a university campus. The court found serious procedural lapses in how evidence was seized, sealed and labelled.
In March 2017, a sessions court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
He was denied bail despite his disability. He was denied permission to attend his mother’s funeral. His co accused Pandu Narote, 33 years old, died of swine flu in Nagpur Central Jail in August 2022 before his name was ever cleared.
In October 2022, the Bombay High Court acquitted him. The Maharashtra government filed a petition in the Supreme Court on a Saturday before the written order was even officially released. The Supreme Court stayed the acquittal.
In March 2024, the Bombay High Court acquitted him again. The court said the evidence was wholly unbelievable and called the trial court verdict a failure of justice.
He walked out of Nagpur Central Jail on March 7, 2024, after nearly 10 years. He said it was only by chance that he had come out alive.
On October 12, 2024, he died of cardiac arrest following complications from a gallbladder surgery. He was 57 years old.
The system imprisoned him. The system acquitted him. The system watched him die.
Nobody answered for any of it.

This man just explained to Martin Scorsese what ‘Annihilation Of Caste’ and Dr Ambedkar mean to modern India and its very foundations.

A joy and an honor to witness this QnA, this moment.
Rural India is not that idyllic paradise filled with wonderful people as made out to be.
It's horribly casteist, your caste determines how you will be received and welcomed.
You can be lynched to death by a mob based on hearsay or a mere rumor.
More often than not there is a big bully in charge, either the local zamindar or sarpanch or a local political bigwig, whom you can't even go against.
There is a reason many migrate to cities, and are willing to live in sub human conditions in the slums.
The stench, filth, cramped homes in the slums are preferable to the hell they face in their villages.

Shi spent his final days quietly in Paris.
Boursicot retired secluded in Brittany.
Yet the questions remain charged:
• Where's the line between love and manipulation?
• Can identity ever be fully known?
• Is reality itself performative?
BR Ambedkar is arguably the greatest Indian to have ever lived. Millions in this country, condemned to be oppressed by your gods, revere him today as a godlike figure because he spent his entire life organising them to lead lives of dignity. Insult him at your own risk.

w. overseas applications elite savarna students r now outsourcing SOP & application process, even univ shortlisting to consulting agencies-- iam getting LOR requests frm students who dont even know what their SOP/univ selection is about. Everything is done for them.
meanwhile marginalized students, despite their talent are gatekept by application fees, IELTS & wonky admission sites (Oxford wont even accept your degree if your college is not on their 'pre-approved' list-- dont worry, Ashoka is there. I checked)
This is gross. As a professor, I find this imbalance.. just plain gross. Overseas academics should take note. Many of ur incoming Indian students outsourced their entire application. Do enjoy teaching them 🙏
Stars are not seen in Day, but seen only in Night. That does not mean that there are no stars in Day.
The Sun is too bright and hence stars are not seen.
Same way, When you see more cases of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia today, it does not mean there were non existent 3 decades ago
We had
Blindness due to Vit A Deficiecy and Congenital Cataract,
Deafness due to Rubella,
Mutism because we did not identify deafness quite early,
Lameness due to Polio
(I am using the words Blind, Deaf, Mute, Lame to get the point across to the larger population, especially those who are ignorant about this topic. So, for the time being, keep your political correctness inside your corrugator cutis ani)
Hence Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia were not focussed on. Now we are focusing on them. That's all
When there is muscle palsy you can't diagnose dyslexia
When there is no vision you can't diagnose lack of eye contact And so on. . . . . .
So
If some country, state, city or section of population have more kids with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia etc that your country, state, city or people, don't immediately jump to conclusions that you are better
Please check whether they have less kids with blindness, deafness etc .
If they have less kids with blindness, deafness and more kids with with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD etc , that country, state, city or section of population is doing a good job and caring for their kids better than you and there is no need for you to boast about
A Lower percent of kids with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, but higher percentage of kids with blindness and deafness means you have a lot of work to do
Same Rule applies to Cesarean Rate too
A Low Cesarean Rate with Higher IMR and MMR is a shame and not an achievement.
