In 2012, when Saqib was 2 ½ yrs old, during our family Mulaqat, I requested Huzoor(aa) to pray for Saqib as we wanted him to do Hifz. Huzoor(aa) was getting up from his chair–he gestured toward Saqib and said ‘Idhar aao Hafiz Sahib’. 10 yrs later, Huzoor's words have come true.

🌙 The True Meaning of Sacrifice 🌙

“The meaning of Islam is to offer one’s neck for sacrifice… to place one’s soul at the threshold of God with perfect submission.”

Beloved Huzoor (aba) explained that true sacrifice is not merely the offering of flesh or blood, but a sacrifice made with sincerity, love, devotion, and perfect recognition of Allah the Almighty.

“Neither the flesh of your sacrifices reaches Allah, nor the blood, but rather it is only the sacrifice that reaches Him.”

Beloved Huzoor (aba) further reminded us that true sacrifice is attained through righteousness, fear and love of Allah, and the purification of the heart.

“If hearts become pure, then this is the true sacrifice.”
