Once more Parker draws us into a serene landscape bathed in a golden sunrise. As is a common theme in his work, the sun takes on aspects of fractals and geometric forms.

The words 'Faith', 'Aspiration', 'Self Sacrifice', 'Purity', 'Wisdom' and 'Love' appear on the staircase inviting us to nurture these qualities within us to locate our innate sense of bliss.

'Anticipated Moment' by Joseph Parker, 1973.

The common themes in Parker's work are beautiful serene landscapes and fractal suns projecting the sacred geometry one might discover in meditation or in other modes of being. These scenes are tranquil and utopian in nature.

Following on from our previous post, we revisit Biffle's slightly unhinged version of Alice in Wonderland's Cheshire Cat. A unique and highly accomplished depiction.

'Hookah Caterpillar' by Richard Biffle, Year Unknown.

Biffle's rendition of the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland is beautifully rendered and a little nightmarish. The artist has also collaborated with The Grateful Dead, The Black Crowes amongst others.

Our second poster from Seagrave features (what seems to be) an hallucinogenic mashup between ancient temples and futuristic architecture. The artwork is ornate and quite stunning, although quite dystopian in nature.

This is the first of a couple of posters in the collection from fantastical artist Dan Seagrave. The artwork is expertly rendered, vivid and imaginative. Could we be looking at some distant, dystopian future?

This stunning fantasy poster was published by Pomegranate and features an elaborate castle built upon the back of a humanoid form. There's quite a lot to unpack here and I wonder if the image is inspired by a book or story?

This is a wonderfully elaborate take on Alice's adventures in Wonderland. Interestingly, the far background seemingly features asian imagery, locales and people mirroring the caterpillar and his hookah.

A relatively modern homage to T Rex, this Nigel Mentzel commissioned artwork features a cascade of vibrant fantasy imagery.
