@dcone36 forget Kangaroo Court, @j_chisholm3 can’t be allowed to challenge. Besides 100% of the ball being in the K zone, challenging a 3-0 pitch w/ bases empty & 2 outs is NEVER the right call. He made a similarly ill-conceived challenge yesterday. These hurt the team. @Yankees
@john_jastremski Because their manager is not very smart & because their GM hasn’t given him enough good options. Why is a .190 lefty leading off against a pitcher who eats lefties for lunch? Once Warren, Weathers, & Gil are moved to the ‘pen it will be easier to bypass Boob’s boobying.
@espn This booth, while personable & interesting, spent the afternoon simply abusing the word “elite.” Can someone please give them a thesaurus? None of them should be allowed to use that word ever again on air. Ever. @yankees@Royals@MLB@MLBNetwork@Buster_ESPN@PerezEd@D_Ross3
@RealMichaelKay Schlittler has been great but this comparison is misleading. One guy on Johnson’s 1913 Washington team struck out 100x (& he was an outlier!). No one in the ‘26 NYY lineup is on pace to K fewer than 100x. Judge is on pace to K 200x. Wildly different game today. @JamesSmyth621
@JakeRepNY Like Gil: so much talent, such a lame attitude. Amazing early success made them think they are & should be treated as The Belle of the Ball when their actual results have been “meh” at best.
@1paulmock@IslesTerritory Seems to me he talks about her more like she's his guardian angel. I can't imagine how I would have reacted to losing my mom when I was 16; certainly not as well as he is.
@RealMichaelKay Fans have the right to boo who they want, that is not in question. *Should* fans boo their own players is a different question. I think it’s ok to do so if the player is loafing or being an ass. Otherwise it is counterproductive & more than a tiny bit dumb.
