The project’s construction of 30 tables increased AIPEP’s overall drying capacity by 20%, while reducing drying times from an average of 7 days to 6 days.

The story behind our Organic Apex Ethiopian Yirgacheffe:
This coffee comes from a cooperative union called Oromia. Established in 1999, the group facilitates the direct exportation of coffee produced by Ethiopia's small farmers.
Oromia is responsible for processing, marketing, and commercializing coffee for its members. The union is comprised of 405 cooperatives, gathering over 370,000 farmer households as of 2019.
In a world full of coffee drinkers, it's shocking to see many coffee farmers struggling. Our goal always has been to go beyond fair trade, building strong relationships with our producing partners so we can grow together.
Thanks for supporting our mission!
“The way we trade” – our commitment to long-term relationships with actual people has ruled the way we do business since day one.
When Higher Grounds was founded, we realized that global fair trade standards were supposed to dictate a “living wage” for farmers all over the world.
Sadly, that price still isn't enough enough. It’s not enough for families to afford access to clean water. Not enough for children of growers to attend school. Not enough to implement sustainable methods and develop communities with models for growth.
