A few weeks ago I went to Hay-on-Wye in Wales. It is a small book town, two hour by car from the closest big city (Cardiff or Bristol). It is a vibrant little town with cafes, hotels, and over two dozen book stores selling on the order of hundreds of thousands, or more, books.

Most people I know who are into books haven’t heard about it, much less visited. I first heard about it from @paulg on X and was curious enough to check it out. I highly recommend it if you like books and find yourself in the UK.
