'Our Roxy is a small Terrier like dog, brownish in colour with what looks like little white socks. Roxy is an elderly dog and in a poor state of health. She last saw the vet late afternoon on Thursday. Friday morning, 2nd May, like we do every morning, let the dogs Roxy and Griff out into the garden while I prepare their breakfast. Griff, our golden retriever, ran inside has I called them, but Roxy was nowhere to be seen. Roxy is on medication. Friday morning, Roxy seemed much more active than she had been recently, I can only assume this is from the benefits of the medication.
We have checked the nearby hedgerows and in the fields, we have checked with our neighbours to see if she was in any of their gardens, fields or out buildings, we have spoken to the many dog walkers and people who walk along the #Glanbaiden lanes.
She could have gone through the fence, and as the effects of the medication had worn off, she had become disoriented and curled up somewhere. I have also been out at night with a powerful torch hoping to see the reflection of her eyes if she was caught up somewhere in the hedgerows, I saw plenty of wildlife but couldn’t see anything of our Roxy.
Roxy wears a collar with contact details engraved on it. The area where we think she is, post code area #NP7 9SE, from the lane down to the river Usk, within the red lines shown on the air photo. The blue circle is our place. The area within the red lines is where we normally take the dogs walking. Abergavenny is to the right of the map, the #SugarLoaf Mt is north of the river #Usk with the #Blorange Mt to the southeast. The photo is of Roxy, which was taken on Friday morning. Anyone with any information, if you have seen Roxy, or taken her in, to the local vets or elsewhere.
