Ghana’s foreign Ministry statement on the refusal of Canadian Visa to Thomas Partey:
“The Government of Ghana reaffirms the fundamental legal principle of the presumption of innocence, a cornerstone of justice and due process in democratic societies.”

🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Benjamin Mendy on Thomas Partey ruled out of Ghana’s crucial opening World Cup match against Panama due to his visa being denied by Canada over unproven allegations:
“People are asking me what I think about Thomas Partey being refused entry into Canada, and my answer is simple: football is becoming a courtroom where the verdict is delivered before the trial even begins.
I’ve seen this movie before. The headlines arrive first, the judgment follows immediately, and the truth is left struggling to catch up. In today’s world, an accusation can spread across the planet in seconds, while facts have to walk barefoot through a storm just to be heard.
We keep hearing people say, ‘No one is above the law.’ I agree completely. But the law works both ways. Justice isn’t only about punishment; it’s also about fairness. If we’re willing to throw away the principle of innocence the moment a headline appears, then we are replacing justice with emotion.
Football fans need to understand the danger here. Today it’s Thomas Partey. Yesterday it was someone else. Tomorrow it could be your favorite player. Once you create a culture where allegations alone are enough to destroy reputations in the eyes of millions, you’ve opened a door that won’t be easy to close.
Social media has become a wildfire. One spark, and suddenly everyone wants to be the judge, the jury, and the executioner. Careers are burned to ashes before a single verdict is reached. People speak with absolute certainty about things they know only through tweets, clips, and headlines.
And let’s be honest: if Thomas Partey was available and scoring goals next week, many of the same people acting morally superior today would be celebrating him if he played for their club. Football has always had selective outrage. Fans often care less about principles and more about whose badge is on the shirt.
What I see today is a dangerous trend. We are moving toward a world where public opinion carries more weight than due process. A world where hashtags are treated like evidence and viral posts are treated like legal documents.
Nobody is asking for special treatment. Nobody is asking for immunity. All I’m saying is that justice should remain in the hands of courts, not timelines. Let investigations speak. Let evidence speak. Let facts speak.
Because if football continues down this road, the game won’t be decided on the pitch anymore. It’ll be decided by whoever can generate the loudest outrage online.
And that’s a far more frightening precedent than any result on a football field.”

Today we made history as I became the first African Foreign Minister to be hosted on an official visit in Kyrgyzstan.
I am most grateful to President Sadyr Japarov and Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev for their warm invitation and incredible hospitality.
Ghana and Kyrgyzstan are both eager to form a strategic and visionary partnership on a number of priority areas.
Ghana as the leading gold producer in Africa and Kyrgyzstan being a leading gold producer in Central Asia with its famous Kumtor Gold Mines, have committed to a mutually beneficial partnership in the interest of our two economies.
To demonstrate our resolve and trust as friendly nations, we signed a visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports in the interim with plans to expand to ordinary passport holders in the near future, and a second agreement to establish formal political consultations.
This new partnership seeks to explore diversified markets for Ghana’s growing economy particularly with Kyrgyzstan, a country celebrated as having one of the best GDP growth rates in the world over the last three years.
We are excited about this new south-south cooperation with our friends who were recently accorded AU observer status.
May the great prospects of Ghana 🇬🇭 Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 bilateral relations be realized.

Hello guys. My health condition hasn't disabled me from thinking right. It has not prevented me from detecting and exposing radicalised, politicized militant ignorance and stupidity from common sense and clear thinking.
And, l have no memory loss of the excruciatingly plunderous, wasteful and kleptocratic feasting the last government visited upon us. I have not forgotten that, that government was fantastically corrupt, and it was mostly made up of incompetent talkertives whose economically porous thinking and actions left us in a junk-rated prison.
I will never forget the that last government sequestered rational, respectful freedom of speech and the rule of law from accountable governance- a huge reason why Ken Ofori-Atta has become a high profile absconder- fugitive from the law.
My health challenges certainly hasn't stopped me from breathing the fresh air and its 'nyunyu' scent under the humane, humble, thoughtful and competent thought process of John Dramani Mahama.
Nana failed, miserably! And boy, I know that the many of the disrespectful and aimless followers/soldiers who are experiencing better economic outcomes are praying like wayward bees for it to end so their marauding mammal mutants can go back to work- pillaging!!
So those posting insulting comments of my health condition, I will be here reading and answering, and later will terminate you. :)
🤣😃
Mi yare, nanso min bo dam!! Koklo!!

I spoke to journalists from Nigeria and other nations — no Ghanaians, for obvious reasons — to rate referee 🇬🇭 Daniel Laryea after the Morocco game.
